Getting Started

Get in touch via email or social media to get your portrait underway! We can discuss sizing, composition, professional framing and deadlines to plan a perfect painting.

Photos

Next is to choose photos! Ideally I like to work from clear photographs, as it is important to me that I capture not just your animal's appearance but also their personality. However, I realise that these portraits are sometimes memorial pieces. In these cases I am happy to work with what we have - I will always do my best to catch their character in the portrait. But please understand that with a less detailed photo comes a slightly less detailed painting.

Photos taken on a smart phone are absolutely fine. Please note that if you would like me to paint from a professionally taken photo, there may be an additional cost for use of the photographer's image.

Payment

Once we have decided on a photograph and have a clear plan forward I require a 50% deposit to book your portrait onto my list. This deposit in non-refundable unless I am at fault. On completion of your artwork I will require the remaining cost before you have it.

The Painting

I will keep in touch with updates throughout the creation of your piece.

Once it is finished, you are happy with the result and the painting is dry and framed (if you decide you want it framed*) you can pay the outstanding cost and I will dispatch your new artwork; with the added bonus of free delivery in the UK.
